The Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, gather and walk around the Pirámide de Mayo and demand to know the fate of their children who disappeared because of the past dictatorship. These children were separated from their families and I cannot begin to imagine the pain. No one knows the answer as to what happened to their children, but these mothers have taken a stand and want to know the truth. Mothers face many human rights violations due to the state of governments and it seems like women and their children suffer the most in an attempt to establish power over communities.
